Pastor Looper accepted Jesus as Lord at the age of five and proclaims that it is the best decision he has ever made. He began singing and traveling with his two brothers as a child. At the age of 10, his father began pastoring so his involvement in the ministry began very early on. Pastor Looper served as the music director of the churches that his father pastored for many years. After graduating from Pickens High School, Pastor Looper attended North Greenville College. After graduation he starting working as a computer programmer/purchasing agent for a corporation. In 1990, he accepted the call to preach and continued to work and preach in local revivals plus continued to sing in the concert ministry. In 1991, Pastor Looper quit public work and went full time into the ministry of evangelism where he served for 25 years. He was blessed to be the state youth director for the Church of God of Prophecy in South Carolina and traveled throughout the United States as well as Haiti and Peru as the evangelist on mission teams. The Lord has allowed him to rejoice with people who’s lives have been changed by the redemptive power of Jesus Christ. Pastor Looper accepted the pastoral call in 2015 to the Carolina Heights congregation where he still serves today. Pastor Looper’s desire is to be a blessing and witness of the power of God at work in his life. Pastor Looper always wants to be the Pastor/Shepherd that the Lord would have him to be. 

 

Mavin and Debbie Black have pastored, evangelized, or been involved in leading worship since 1980. They call themselves eclectic in their style of worship because they love all styles of music and incorporate them in any given set list. Mavin and Debbie also married in 1980. Mavin holds an associates degree in Bible from Tomlinson College and Debbie holds an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from USC Spartanburg. They have two adult children and four grandchildren. They consider it an honor to serve here at Carolina Heights for this season of  ministry and encourage you to join us. “Come let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord, our maker.” Psalm 95:6

 

 

Donna felt the call for ministry the Lord not long after she was saved in 1993. She has ministered in various forms including preaching, teaching Sunday school, nursery volunteer, youth ministry, women’s ministry, and she is currently our Bible Study Leader on Wednesday nights. Donna has  taken numerous Bible related courses over the years and holds a B.S. in Bible and Theology from Lee University. She has been a licensed minister in the Church of God of Prophecy since 2014.  Donna and her husband, Mike, married in 1981 and have two adult children and one grandchild.
